Technical internships & apprenticeship
Hesling offers technical internships to a wide variety of students with degrees in business economics, engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics and industrial design.
In the past, students have worked with us on the development and use of a new cobot, inline milling with our injection-moulding machines using vacuum moulds, and the design and build of a test bench for bicycle parts.
Our students work at various levels, including work placements and internships, and on individual and group projects. Many of our interns stay on, from summer to part-time job to full-time careers.
Design internship
Over the years, we have received many patents for renewed designs. Because we do the entire process, from research, development, design, production and delivery in-house, we can always offer a fitting internship. We offer design students an internship that fits their degree and academic level.

Example of a student assignment: Design and build of a testing bench
Hesling commissioned a group of multidisciplinary 4th-year technical students from the HAN and European HAN-affiliated universities to design a testing bench that would allow the testing of bicycle parts on sustainability and functionality under difficult weather conditions, like wind, water, mud and road brine.
After an intensive 6-month period, the assignment was taken over by 2 grad students from the Graafschap College. They corrected a few construction errors from the first group and continued working on collecting the necessary technical parts of the testing bench.
