Today, we design the bicycle components of tomorrow

For Hesling, sustainability is not a trend but an integral part of the way we work. For 90 years, we have been developing and producing bike parts that are built to last, made from responsible materials and contribute to a more sustainable bicycle industry. From material choices and product development to production and collaboration with our customers, we continuously look for ways to reduce our impact at every stage of the process.

Our sustainability ambition

We believe that sustainable mobility starts with responsible choices. That is why we choose recycled plastics whenever possible and are taking steps to reduce CO₂ emissions across our organization.

Now

✓ Our CO₂ footprint has been fully mapped according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
✓ Recycled plastics are our standard wherever possible.

The coming years

✓ Further sustainability improvements in our energy supply and production processes.

2030

✓ 50% reduction in operational emissions compared to the 2024 benchmark.

Why we focus on recycled materials

The majority of our CO₂ emissions do not come from our own production, but from the production of raw materials. That is why our material choices make the biggest difference.

We therefore use recycled plastics as standard, such as recycled ABS, recycled polycarbonate and recycled PA6, unless a customer specifically chooses virgin materials.

This results in:
✔ Lower CO₂ emissions throughout the supply chain
✔ Reduced use of new raw materials
✔ Supporting a circular economy

For our customers

More and more bicycle manufacturers need to provide insight into the sustainability of their supply chains. That is why we invest in transparent data and reliable reporting.

This allows us to support our customers with their ESG reporting and help them achieve their own sustainability goals.
